Al Amin Ibrahim Al Amin (FOUNDER/CEO)
Al-Amin Ibrahim Al-Amin, a Ph.D. researcher in Sustainable Development at the University of Abuja, brings an outstanding background in finance, investment management, and renewable energy, making him a valuable asset in any industry he joins.
With a proven track record of securing climate financing and representing various organizations at international climate conferences, Al-Amin has demonstrated his commitment to fostering sustainable development and environmental stewardship. As a result, he continues to make a lasting impact on the renewable energy and agribusiness sectors, creating opportunities for individuals, organizations, and governments around the world.
Prof. Aisha Abdulkadir (Co-Founder/Chief Soil Scientist)
With background in B. Agric and MSc. Soil Science Degrees from the Department of Soil Science, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria in years 2000 and 2006, respectively. She obtained her PhD. from Wageningen University, The Netherlands, where she worked with Late Prof. Herman van Keulen (Soil Physicist) and on Modelling nutrient flows and balances in agroecosystems with MONQI model in Plant Production Systems Group. She is currently employed by Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, in the Department of Soil Science since the year 2002 with specialization in Soil Physics, and where she is involved in teaching and supervision of both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Muhammad Musa (Co-Founder/ Head of Operations)
After studying masters in environmental management from Bayero kano in 2022 and BSc. Geography from Yobe State University. Muhammad gained several years of experience as a project manager and chief executive in Sahel Humanity Centre. An environmental management and sustainability company based in Damaturu Yobe State. Muhammad pursues his passion for working with people as well as his knack for administrative and process-oriented tasks. He is responsible for staff management, always keeping the employees in mind when implementing new processes and structures. Muhammad is
particularly concerned about the climate crisis and increasing social injustice. He considers himself lucky to have found an employer that shares his moral compass and is committed to true climate action.
Dr. Ibrahim Yarima (Project Coordinator)
He obtained (B.sc Hons) Botany in 1982 from the University of Maiduguri, postgraduate specialist Diploma (Biological Tech) 1992 from Nigeria Institute of Science and Technology Ibadan, Nigeria. M.sc Land Resources (Development) from Bayero University kano, in 1999. Ph.D. Geography (Environment Management) from the University of Maiduguri 2023. He is a research fellow centre for Arid Zone Studies University of Maiduguri and assistant chief technologist of Biological Sciences University of Maiduguri
Dr. Akanimo Odon (Co founder/Head R&D)
Holds a master’s degree in environmental rehabilitation, a PhD. in Environmental Management from Lancaster University, UK and business and enterprise certifications and fellowships from Cambridge University UK, Stanford University USA, and MIT USA. Consultant Lancaster Environment Centre. Chair, Africa, scientific research and innovation Council UK.
Usman Aliyu (Head of Business Development)
With PhD. Environmental Management from the University of Maiduguri and
M.Sc. Environmental Management from the same university. Usman Aliyu obtained his first degree in Geology in 2003 And Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management 2007.
For the last 15+ years, Dr. Usman has had the privilege to help turn multiple startups into successful scale-ups. In the northern part of Nigeria, He brings his continued beginner’s mindset and the learnings of what it takes to grow young technology, mainly eco innovation, companies to international success and oversees the intersection which has become his sweet spot: Product management and business development. His second startup in the Environmental eco innovation sector, which is the sector closest to his outdoor and nature-loving heart. He is happy to be part of the Biochar Solutions Africa team, which he likes to call the real mountain view.
